Payment setup – how to accept coins and banknotes in a photobooth with Fotillo software
Your photobooth can work “on its own” – it can accept coins, notes and even credit/debit card payments. We have prepared a guide to help you choose the right devices to accept money, as well as how to set them up correctly in the Fotillo software family.
The Fotillo software works with the following devices:
a) Coin acceptors RM5 Evo equipped with USB port with CCTalk protocol and RM5 HD equipped with USB port with CCTalk protocol.
b) Banknote reader NV10USB+ and NV9 USB+ with CCTalk 8bit protocol
c) Valina payment card reader
It is possible to set up any currency (almost all are supported by the devices mentioned above).
To configure Fotillo with additional devices, you must start the software and the configuration menu by pressing F4 button. Payment-related settings are located at the bottom.
If you want to configure the Comestero RM5 device described under a), simply change the status to ‘ON’:
If you want to turn on and start the NV10+ banknote reader described in b), turn it on, the software will have the fields filled in by default.
In the case of Valina Terminal (c) – the following fields will be filled in with the default settings:
If, for the above payment devices, you need to have other channels active in individual modes, then send information about your requirements to contact@fotillo.com.
The setting of values for the individual channels in the coin acceptor and the banknote reader is structured as:
{{channel.number}:{value}:{name}.
Each channel is separated by a semicolon
Note: Channels 8 and 9 in the coin acceptor are reserved for special tokens. Do not use these channels to program coins.
For the coin reader, it is possible to set values for two modes of operation. The structure is:
{wartość zap{payment value}:{value received}:
Each successive value is separated by a semicolon
Example 1 – 3:3: – the customer pays €3 and the software credits them with €3
Example 2 – 11:12: – the customer pays €11 and the software credits them €12 and allows them to take 4 photos (a form of promotion of higher amounts)
